The Lost Madonna Tapes

Waaaay Waaaay back when Holly and I were first becoming friends, I travelled to Rochester Hills, Michigan to see Madonna play her home town at the Palace Theater. It was an HBO special, and the aforementioned ladies both called Rochester Hills home at some point. After the show a few of us went to the house she grew up in and smoked a huge doobie in the circular driveway. It was awesome, but not as awesome as The Lost Madonna Tapes:

Madonna biographer Andrew Morton offers a previously unreleased tape that includes Madonna singing some of the first ever songs she wrote. The tape was made by Ed Gilroy and his brother Dan, Madonna’s ex-boyfriend, who lived with the singer in the basement of a Queens synagogue.
